Its been almost 2 years we are in Poland, a small and beautiful country in Europe.
Well most people who relocate to Europe are often told that there are language issues in Europe. But what people are not told is how friendly and helpful Europeans are. Before moving here our knowledge of Poland and even Europe was limited. But our experience after coming here has been truly amazing. In my heart I miss India, but the same heart loves and adores Poland :) I would like to note some of my lovely experiences here.So below is a small list of my positive experiences here.
And there are still many such positive experiences, but the gist is our experiences with Polish people have been amazing :) I feel happy and blessed to see this part of the world and how helpful and friendly almost everyone can be.

- Our landlady is such a friendly and helpful person. In our initial days if at all we had any official work. She would come to our office to pick us, then used to take us at Goverment office, finish official work and at the end used to drop us at home.
- When we visited a beautiful park nearby.. A lady who was running came to us and said "Namaste" by folding her hands.Another lady at cash counter of grocery store asks "Where are you from?" When we say from India.. She smiles and replies 'Wow From India?? I love Bollywood" :) :) People here love and respect Indians very much. I feel so proud seeing so much respect for our country here. Often I get responses from people, "India is a beautiful country, we would like to see it". Also many polish people who have been to India, they try to speak something in Hindi- in their European Accent -"Aap se milke Khushi hui".
- Everyone does not speak English but they will try to go to a great extent to help you in whichever way they can. In our initial days, we asked some query to a lady with respect to transport. She walked all the way till almost 500 meters to help us with details.
- In Car registration office, all forms were in Polish. Looking at us, officer lady comes and tells us I will help you fill all the details and she patiently translates each sentence for us and helps us to complete registration.
- While travelling to airport, by mistake we validated one used ticket and one new ticket. We had around 5-6 new tickets and one used one. So we did not realize this mistake until ticket checker came. Although I have heard stories that they are very strict here with fines even if your ticket is expired by just a minute. But here we had this Ticket checker smiling at us saying "No problem.. Next time :)". I was amazed he not just left without collecting fine, but was smiling while talking with us.
- Once while parking our car's tyre got stuck into a icy slope. While we were struggling to get it out and slowly we had 3 local people helping us to remove it. They spent almost 30-35 minutes with us inorder to get car's tyre out.
And there are still many such positive experiences, but the gist is our experiences with Polish people have been amazing :) I feel happy and blessed to see this part of the world and how helpful and friendly almost everyone can be.
